Welcome to Tech Founder’s Notebook, a personal publication by Nouman Qureshi, available at noumanq.com and hosted on Substack (the “Publication”). By reading, subscribing to, or otherwise using the Publication, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Publication.

These Terms are between you and Nouman Qureshi (”I”, “me”, or “my”), based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

About the Publication

Tech Founder’s Notebook is a personal newsletter where I share writing about technology, building products, and related topics. It reflects my own views and experiences. It is offered on an ongoing but informal basis, and I may change how often I publish, what I cover, or how the Publication operates at any time.

The platform

The Publication is hosted on Substack. Your use of the Publication is also subject to Substack’s own Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, which govern the platform itself, including account creation, email delivery, and payments. Where these Terms and Substack’s terms both apply, Substack’s terms govern the platform, and these Terms govern my content and my relationship with you as a reader.

Subscriptions

Subscribing to the Publication is currently free. When you subscribe, you agree to receive the Publication and related emails by email. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or through your account settings.

I may introduce paid subscriptions in the future. If I do, the terms for paid subscriptions, including pricing, billing, and refunds, will be presented at that time and will form part of these Terms. Nothing in these current Terms commits you to any payment.

Intellectual property and use of content

All content in the Publication, including articles, text, images, and other material I create, is my property or used with permission, and is protected by copyright and other laws.

You may read, enjoy, and share links to the Publication freely. You may also quote short extracts for the purpose of commentary or discussion, provided you credit Tech Founder’s Notebook and link back to the original.

You may not, without my prior written permission:

• copy, republish, or redistribute my content in full or in substantial part

• present my content as your own

• use my content to train, fine-tune, or develop any machine learning or artificial intelligence system

• scrape, harvest, or systematically extract content from the Publication or noumanq.com by automated means

• use my content for commercial purposes

Your conduct

If you comment, reply, or otherwise participate, you agree to be respectful and lawful. You are responsible for anything you post. I may remove content or restrict participation that is abusive, unlawful, spam, or otherwise inappropriate, at my discretion.

By submitting a comment or message, you grant me permission to display it in connection with the Publication. You keep ownership of what you write.

I write about technology, business, building companies, and related topics, based on my own experience, opinion, and research. The Publication is for general information and interest only. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the Publication will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
